1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using ScreenHalt: Focus & App Blocker, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

ScreenHalt provides digital wellbeing tools, including:

• Screen time monitoring
• App usage limits
• Scheduling controls

The App uses Apple's Screen Time APIs to enforce usage limits locally on your device.

3. Data & Privacy

ScreenHalt does not:

• Create user accounts
• Store personal data
• Maintain identifiable user records

All functionality operates locally on your device wherever possible.

Limited technical data may be processed to operate and improve the App, including:

• Install, app-open, and purchase conversion events (via AppsFlyer, our advertising attribution provider)

This data is not used to identify you personally, and it never includes your screen time or app activity. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app lawfully
• Not attempt to bypass restrictions
• Not misuse system-level permissions

5. Permissions Usage

The app requires system-level permissions to function, including:

• Screen Time / usage access controls

These permissions are used solely to:

• Enforce app usage limits
• Enable core functionality

They are not used for personal data collection.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services, including:

• AppsFlyer (advertising attribution and conversion analytics)
• Apple's App Store and StoreKit (distribution, payments, and subscription management)

These services operate under their own terms and policies.

7. Subscriptions & Billing

The App offers subscription-based access to its features.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings

Free trials, if offered:

• Automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted operation
• Error-free performance
• Complete prevention of usage bypass

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenHalt LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

• Loss of productivity or profits
• Data loss related to device or system issues
• Damages arising from reliance on the App's blocking features

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to ScreenHalt LLC through the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScreenHalt LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any of its features at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or misused the App, or where necessary to protect the App, its users, or ScreenHalt LLC.

You may stop using the App at any time. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification — survive.

12. Intellectual Property

All rights, including:

• App design
• Code
• Features

are owned by ScreenHalt LLC.

13. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Union:

• We process minimal technical data only
• We do not store personally identifiable information
• Users retain rights under applicable data protection laws

14. COPPA Compliance

ScreenHalt: Focus & App Blocker:

• Does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13
• Does not include targeted advertising
• Does not track user identity

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
